Fantastic all round team effort from our U11s Wolves Sunday 29th May, as they secured their 1st win of this season vs SW Mcr.
SW batting first scored 59/8 off 20 overs, coming up against some inspired bowling & fielding from our boys.
The encouragement & support of each other on the field was a joy to watch.
Wythenshawe needing 60 to win, set off aiming to bat their way sensibly to their 1st victory & this they did, a fine Captains innings from Sonny Ash, retiring not outr on 25, Sam Lavelle & Zach Bolton saw us over the line as we finished on 60/3 off 8.5 overs.
It really was a faultless performance by all the boys, watched on by another wonderfully supportive crowd of parents & families from both clubs.
The victory made all the sweeter by falling on Jnr Secretary Tracy’s birthday. We couldn’t have wished for a better birthday present!!
Well done everyone, thanks to Kelly for scoring & a massive thanks to U9’s coach Rob Jones for officiating all our U11s matches these past 3 weeks, covering for Ian on holiday.
